When we diet, we limit our daily calorific intake to extreme lows which puts our bodies into famine mode - This is where it stops producing certain hormones, the very hormones which we need to burn fat and lose weight. After a period of time we will not see the results we want and either give up on the diet, and deem ourselves useless or reduce our calorific intake further which will actually see results for another short period of time. As we continue on our journey we will become tired, moody, and eventually deem that this is unsustainable at which point we will stop the diet. After this point when we start eating normally we will gain weight again. 

And so this continues. The yo-yo dieting hamster wheel where we never actually get to where we want to be.

The dieting industry has most women living in a constant famine mode where they are never eating enough for their body's needs. 

Restriction has become the normal, but this does not need to be the way forward. Most women simply do not eat enough. We are brainwashed by the diet industry into believing that to be slim we need to restrict our calories and be on a diet constantly.
